Ron Alexander I interviewed a Ww2 vet.,who became a medic, because he "didn't have the instinct to kill." He fought in Okinawa too, but he did carry a gun "to protect my brothers." He never had time to use it though. He was injured and was awarded a purple heart and a bronze star. That movie was very realistic. My Father was a Marine there, but would not talk about it.
